Marty Day

Originally from Peoria, IL, Marty and her husband, Roger, moved to Denver, CO for 12 years, then Scottsdale, AZ in 1986 for 1 1/2 years, and then returned to Scottsdale in 1994. Marty and Roger were first introduced to the organization in 1986 and have been members since they returned to Scottsdale.  

Marty has played an integral role in our growth over the years. Since being introduced to Global Ties Arizona, Marty has played multiple roles in our leadership: 

• Former President – two years 

• Vice President – two years 

• Board member – seven years 

• General member since 1995 

Marty has kindly opened up her home as a home hospitality volunteer for International Visitors  over many years! She believes in the motto: Democracy, one handshake at a time!

Marty is currently semi-retired. Her background is Executive Assistant to Assistant Superintendents in education and  CEO/Presidents in banking. She works temporary positions by referral when a company CEO/President needs  organization while they search for a permanent person.
