Karin Jimenez
Karin Jimenez serves as the Director of Events & Programs at the Tempe Chamber of Commerce. She leads all the Chamber’s event efforts, including fundraising, member outreach, strategic partner relations, and overall strategy for promoting the Chamber programs and committees to diverse audiences.
Prior to joining the Chamber, Karin served as VP of Operations, Strategic Initiatives & Events at the Arizona Lodging & Tourism Association (AzLTA) and Director of Business Development & Events at the Arizona Mexico Commission (AMC)—Arizona Office of the Governor. In these roles, she managed growth and business development, events, and engagement with various organizations.
During her time at AMC, she worked on several significant projects, including key international events, binational initiatives, and trade missions with Mexico and Arizona’s neighboring state of Sonora, as well as Sinaloa, Chihuahua, and Baja California, Mexico.
Her professional experience also includes public affairs work for the City of San Luis, where she served as an aide to the Mayor and Council and acted as a liaison with other city departments, outside agencies, and residents. Passionate about supporting Global Ties of Arizona, Karin was a mentor during the 2023 Young Leaders of the Americas Initiative (YLAI) Fellowship Program hosted by the organization.
Karin is a bilingual, bicultural woman proud of her Mexican heritage and a graduate of Victor Valley College. Born and raised in Los Angeles, California, she has lived in Arizona for over fifteen years.
