We rang in the Year of the Snake, sharing a meal and cross-border conversations. IVLP visitors from Taiwan and Singapore highlighted Lunar New Year traditions, while Lin Sue Flood’s (Director of Community Engagement, Hospice of the Valley) lively emceeing set the tone for the night.

We also honored those who make our work possible, presenting the 2024 J. Lester Shaffer Awards for Outstanding Volunteerism and recognizing key partners in international exchange. With great food, engaging discussions, and lucky raffle winners, the evening showcased the power of community in global engagement. As we enter the Year of the Snake, we move forward with wisdom, adaptability, and a renewed commitment to citizen diplomacy!
