This summer, we're thrilled to welcome 20 Iraqi high school students to our community through the Iraqi Young Leaders Exchange Program, a U.S. Department of State Initiative through the Embassy of Baghdad. During their two-week stay in Arizona, these students will focus on developing leadership skills and fostering cross-cultural understanding.
GTAZ is actively seeking host families within the central valley community to host our visiting Iraqi high school students for two weeks from July 9th-22nd. Limited stipends and/or gift cards to aid hosting costs will be offered to families.
On this call, we will go over the program initiative, host requirements and responsibilities, cultural sensitivities, frequently asked question and more.
