Featured Speaker
Member at the Committee on Foreign Affairs at the U.S. House of Representatives; and Executive Director of the U.S. Advisory Commission on Public Diplomacy at the U.S. Department of State. She also worked at The Asia Foundation, Bloomberg Opinion, and Meta, where she was in residence as a Council on Foreign Relations International Affairs Fellow.
Katherine is a member of the University of Southern California’s Center on Public Diplomacy Advisory Board and the Truman National Security Project’s Board of Directors. She is an Adjunct Assistant Professor at Georgetown University’s Center for Security Studies and a former non-resident fellow at the Center for Strategic and International Studies (CSIS). Her book, “Your Country, Our War: The Press and Diplomacy in Afghanistan,” was published by Oxford University Press in 2019.
Katherine holds a B.A. in International Affairs from The George Washington University and a Ph.D. in Communications from Columbia University.
